Colour coded markings for different sports court boundaries are the starting point for this personal project. Graphic and simple, they also are imperfect and worn. Giving them a quality unique to each hall. They produce graphic windows which I have captured all over the UK. The resultant images have the feel of modernists, with nods to the work of Mondrain, Van Doesburg and Jean Gorin. These works were shot in Sports centres in the UK.
Sports halls all around the world display the same markings on the courts of games that are played inside. With red for netball, black for basketball, white for badminton, green for volleyball, yellow for tennis, and blue for soccer.
